loss in women can in some cases be due to genetic factors. This is
referred to as Androgenic Alopecia (or Female Pattern Hair Loss -
FPHL), and can occur from puberty onwards.
Up to 50% of women will be affected by hair loss
due to genetic factors during their lifetime.
