What is PRP?

To yield PRP, blood is drawn from your arm and then spun down in a centrifuge (a machine that spins at high speeds to help separate blood components). After centrifuging, it separates into three distinct layers: plasma on top, platelets and blood cells in the middle, and red blood cells at the bottom. PRP is derived from the centre part, also known as the “serum portion”
